Is The Blum Estate open and booking weddings?
Yes — fully open and booking 2026 and 2027 dates. The Stables opened May 2026 and we have been hosting weddings ever since. Contact Mirela@historicblumbarn.com or 734-604-3797.
What is The Stables?
The Stables is our newly built indoor/outdoor wedding venue on the same 43-acre property, constructed after the January 2026 fire and opened May 2026. Purpose-built for celebrations up to 200 guests.
What happened to the original barn?
The original event barn was lost to fire in January 2026. We rebuilt as The Stables and plan to restore the original footprint as an indoor chapel in 2027.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Up to 200 guests.
Is The Stables climate controlled?
Yes — fully heated and air conditioned year-round.
How many outdoor ceremony locations do you have?
Three — The Pond Overlook, The Willow Grove, and The Open Field — each with a distinct backdrop and feel.
What is your rain plan?
The Stables has a dedicated indoor ceremony space. No tents, no scramble. Built into every event.
Are sparklers allowed?
Yes, plus cold spark machines for grand exits, weather permitting.
What are the grounds like?
43 acres with a pond, willows, wildflowers, wooded areas, and multiple scenic backdrops. Portions include grass and gravel — comfortable footwear recommended.
Is the venue exclusive use?
Yes — the entire 43-acre property is yours. No other couples, no shared spaces.
What hours are included?
Setup from 9 AM. Music off at 11 PM (June/July/August) or 10 PM (May/September/October). Pickup the following morning.
How do we book?
Start with a private tour — contact us at Mirela@historicblumbarn.com or 734-604-3797. A 50% deposit holds your date.
Do you allow outside caterers?
Yes. Bring your own caterer. We provide prep and storage space; full kitchen operations must be off-site.
Is event insurance required?
Yes — event and alcohol liability insurance is required. Typically $150–$300 through a personal wedding insurance provider. Proof due one week before the event.
